Airsoft organizer app: set up on the web, play in the app

Organizing an airsoft game means many small jobs: drawing the area, splitting sides, sorting squads, telling people where to go. TacLink moves the setup to the web, where you have a big screen and a keyboard, and leaves the phone app to do one thing in the field: keep each side on the same map.

Create the event on the web

At app.tac-link.com you set up:

  • The area. Draw the playable boundary on the map.
  • Sides. Two or more, with names and colours.
  • Squads. How many per side and a target size. The size guides auto-placement; it is not a hard limit.
  • Commanders for each side.
  • Schedule and player cap.
  • Map image of the event area, if you have one.
  • Pins for HQs, objectives, respawn points and anything else. TacLink has default icons and you can upload your own.

Then you publish. The event gets one join code per side, shown as QR codes and links you can print or share.

On the day

Put the side QR codes on a board at the meeting point, where there is signal. Players sign in with Apple or Google, scan their side’s code, and the live map opens with them on the right side and in a squad. Players who joined from the same team land in the same squad when it has room.

From the app, staff can start, pause and end the event, move players between sides and squads, set the Commander and Squad leaders, and remove a player. Staff see all sides on the map. Staff do not count toward the player cap.

During the game

Players keep sharing positions with the phone locked. Without signal, phones on the same side keep each other updated over Bluetooth, and a phone with signal bridges the side to the server.

One price per event

Up to 15 players is free. Above that you pay once per event on the web, before publishing, with Stripe Checkout:

  • 16 to 40 players: 15 EUR
  • 41 to 100 players: 39 EUR
  • 101 to 250 players: 89 EUR
  • 251 to 500 players: 169 EUR

VAT is included. Players never pay. For bigger events, and for the full price rules, see the pricing page. The checklist in How to run an airsoft game for 100 players covers the rest of the day.
